One of rock's "oldest teenagers" and the world's music icon Dick Clark, has passed away and will be sadly missed by all. Thanks for giving us so much music and entertainment over the years. R.I.P. Here is a clip from American Bandstand introducing AC/DC's 'Touch Too Much' on Rate A Record. Although I would have chose AC/DC over Stargard ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1JmsFE7o5U&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PLEE16BD35FF983265

First off, Dick Clark was a TV legend...New Year's Eve will never be the same and music would not have been the same without his influence. Now that that's over with, I feel Bandstand was more pop-oriented (I heard Dick Clark didn't think the Beatles were "mainstream" enough for his show...um...yeah...the Beatles sold more than AC/DC who just got outrated by some now-unknown pop-rock group.) In terms of "dance potential" (from what I heard of the song) Stargard's song did sound better...which is what most of Bandstand's music was, pop.

^ Yeah, figured that is why Stargard won over. Not even sure why a song by AC/DC would even be considered on a show like that, just look at the way everyone is dancing!! lol! No one dances like that to an AC/DC song ;)

A true loss, New Years Rockin' Eve won't be so "Rockin" anymore, great guy,and indeed a legend. R.I.P. Mr. Clark, I'd like to think Bon and Dick are having a beer right now, enjoying paradise.
