Question about an LP
I was cleaning out my closet the other night and found an LP set (2 LP set) that I'm not sure of. It came out in 1985. The track listing is- Side A- 1. Live Wire (Live London 1979) 2. Back In Black (Live 1980) 3. For Those About To Rock (Live 1981) 4. Dog Eat Dog (Live 1978) Side B- 1. Rocker (Live 1976) 2. Its A Long Way To The Top (Live 1975) 3. Playing With Girls (Live 1985) 4. Live Wire (Live Glasgow 1982) LP 2- Side A- 1. If You Want Blood (Demo) 2. Ride On (Bon w/trust) 3. Highway To Hell demo 4. High Voltage (demo) Side B- 1. You Shook Me (Demo) 2. Brain Shake (demo) 3. Fly On The Wall (Demo) 4. Twist (outtake) I have no clue what it is, or if I have the only one, if any of you can help me out that would be great. I'm guessing it is just a bootleg someone created back in the day.

@Donneyboy, Twist is NOT AC/DC...that is not any of the band members voices at the end. Brian's Shake we already have. You got me excited about Brain Shake so thank you for clearing that up. So........ This leaves the following: 3. Highway To Hell demo - Does this mean the African Acetates version? That is really NOT a demo but the regular version. We would have to hear it to see what it is. 4. High Voltage (demo)- Not sure if this means an extended Australian version or not. We would have to hear it to see what it is. Side B- 1. You Shook Me (Demo) Please share so we can hear it. 3. Fly On The Wall (Demo) Please share so we can hear it.
Twist is AC/DC, its just Harry Vonda at the end. It says in Maximum Rock N Roll. High Voltage is just the extended version, same as Backracks. I'll probably go out and see if I can get a thing to upload LP's to computer, then get them up
hmmm,any chance you could either sell me the lp's & i'll burn them to disc or if you were to trust me enough,send them to me,i'll burn them to cd & then send them back to you???

@Donneyboy, For Twist.....which page # in the Maximum RnR book? OR are you just going by what the owner said about the track on youtube?
It has no labels on it, all it says AC/DC on it. I got a thing to put it on my computer, so I should have it up on you tube soon. Also I can look to see what page it's on, it's just that my friend borrowed it for a report for school. But once I get it on my computer, I should have it up, also will burn anyone a copy

hey donney, why not listen to the LP before sharing with anyone. You can give us the input on how these songs are and if they are the true demos of the songs that are pretty rare ex. Highway To Hell, and Fly On The Wall. Or if they are just the original with one side cut out.

That "demo" sounds pretty fake. It sounds like someone extracted the BJ vocal from a live bootleg, got rid of the drums/bass/guitar and then added it to a homemade musical version (drums/bass/guitar) of YSMANL. Then, tried to make it sound a bit scratchy for authenticity.
That "demo" from youtube sounds like the '83 single version that was recently re-released on Backtracks.I'm pretty sure that Live version of the song was dubbed with the album vocals,It appears that some type of effect was added to it like a phaser or something similar to make it rise and drop in volume level.Then a static effect to sound like a vinyl rip. Not authentic sounding for a demo,I'm now having some doubts for sure if that's what's on this LP you're talking about. I hope you prove me wrong with this LP,but right now I'm calling fake until other wise.

I'm working on getting the demos on to my computer. The USB turntable has been giving me troubles. But I will try to get it up. I friday I'm going to best buy to exchange the turntable I got for a different one, then should have Highway To Hell, and Fly On The Wall up on sunday. Also I talked to the person who created it, he lives in Minneapolis, and he said that he got most of the "demos" from a friend thats been dead for years. But he said that High Voltage is the extended edition, HTH is the Acetates version, and You Shook Me is one that he sorta edited. If You Want Blood you can find on Volts, and the rest you can find on other bootlegs. PS- Nightprowler, do you still want it then? Because if you do I'm going to ask the owner if its ok since he said I shouldn't sell the LP, but I can make a CD copy of it. Also he said that he made 3, but I have the only one left. So I can make you a CD copy if you want.

I'm guessing it is just a bootleg someone created back in the day." & now all of a sudden you say you found the guy who made it?? listen,i been collecting ac/dc & other vinyl for well over 20 years now & unless i personally knew the bootleger myself i never been able to track down anyone who made any certain bootleg that is well known,yet alone 1 where even yourself says you have no clue to who made it. i highly doubt that "the owner" out of the blue came to you,bootleggers don't do that to protect themselves because they can get into a shit load of trouble over this sort of thing. & as for asking "the owner", he doesn't own anything,you got the vinyl in YOUR hands,not in his,so it's not up to him in any way to decide what you want to do with it,if he didn't want it to get out,he would have never made it then,plain & simple, ;-)

For finding the owner, It was originally my dads, and he got it from a friend, and I asked his friend about it, then He gave me the owners info. But now I'm really having second thoughts about it, since I have the only one. Also I have had a few bad experiences before when I traded my TNT album for the australian High Voltage, sent it out, but never got what I wanted in return. And my dad said I shouldn't do it. But if I can get it on my computer, I might still go through. But I need a little more time to burn a CD of it for myself.

see I might just be kinda slow on the uptake her Donneyboy, but whats the problem with poppin the old vinyl on the turntable and using your video camera to record and upload the vids from this boot? seems to be no problem elsewhere on your youtube page, i know it wont be great quality audio but given the mic on your cam seems to pick up quite well, it will avoid the distorted audio you got from that usb turntable thing you used for YSMANL Just a wee thought, hope it helps seein as how people are clamouring to hear theses tunes bud Dave
well,that usb turntable shoudn't have distorted it at all daclarob,i know plenty of people who have used them b4 & they all came out sounding damned good. i myself use a xpsounds xp201 which mounts directly into my comp in 1 of the extra drive spaces., it's far superior to any usb table since i can use my vpi tnt 2.5 table with it or any other table ever made. i highly recommend 1 to anyone out there,it's def. the best & it even comes with a few free/trail cleaner programs so you can clean up any hiss or clicks that you may get from the vinyl even thou i went & bought a better program just for this purpose. trust me people,this is the best you can get for the $$,you won't be disappointed. they even stand behind their products 110%,my orginial one i bought died on me after the warranty ran out(8 months expired),i contacted them to see if they could fix it & they sent me a new one for free,just had to pay postage. now that's customer service,;-) http://xpsound.com/xp201.htm
agreed ,some companies do KNOW what customer service is all about, nice sounding set up you have there, and as for the usb turntables, yeh a coupla my older relatives use em for heir Perry Como, Sinatra 45s and such, never had any problems but theres always going to be a faulty batch somewhere aint there? Just thought Ye Olde Vid Cam would at least give us an inkling of what is on these discs, man the masses are clamouring to know!!!

But like I said, I'll get it out Monday or Tuesday np: ok,well what i would do is this: if you have a local record shop in the area,ask them for a lp mailer,otherwise get 2 pieces of heavy cardboard measuring at least 14 inches by 14 inches,sandwich the vinyls in betwween them & tape it all together. when you go to post office,send it priority mail with a tracking number/delivery confrimation or send it registered mail(best option) & after you send it,send me the tracking or registered mail number so we can both keep an eye on the package. just for future advice,never ever send a record by media mail,it will either show up broken or it will get lost every single time. also,notify bignate about this deal & give him any tracking/registered mail numbers & he can act as a non involved 3rd party. that way neither you or i can say the other ripped them off. i trust bignate with my life & you can also. donneyboy: OK, I will go to a local record store and ask for an LP mailer, but he's only open Wednesdays, Thursdays,and Saturdays. Also I realized I took a pic of the wrong LP. I am curently getting it up. I have been having problems with my computer, but I am working on getting them up, and NP when I said Id have them up by 9, I didnt say what time zone. but im almost done. As for the labels those are how they look, I have tried to take them off, but had no luck
