Due to popular demand (and a fair amount of nagging), acdc-bootlegs.com and acdc-videos.com are now offering site t-shirts, and soon will offer other kinds of swag.
For this first run, I am going with an online company called CafePress that will print shirts as they are ordered. On the up side, this keeps the initial cost to me low and also allows me not to hold onto any inventory that doesn't sell. The down side is that there is a limited selection of both items and designs I can use. I'm not allowed to use the AC/DC logo we all know and love due to their copyright rules, so I had to be a bit creative this time around.
My profit on every shirt is $5. I want to be up front with you all about this, so you know that I don't want to overcharge any member of the sites; I want you to know exactly why the prices are what they are. CafePress charges me a base price per item, tacks on shipping after you order, and then it's up to me to mark it up from there. I chose $5 to make it simple, but also because it seemed like a reasonable amount. If this round of sales goes well, I will most likely take any money I make off of the shirts and look into getting shirts printed locally, so I can hopefully use a better logo and get the prices lower.
So that's that! Below are the first designs for t-shirts. I wanted to emphasize the 'Riff Raff', or members of this site so they are also very simple and straight to the point. I hope you like them and thanks for your support!
