Well this was most definitely a great show, and anyone who missed out is most likely kicking themselves for missing out. The Surprisingly the tickets were still on sale two weeks before the concert, but there was not a seat empty in the Gillette Stadium on Tuesday July 28, 2009.

For starters the opening bands were actually not half bad, the first being a Ireland Rock band known as The Answer whom i had never heard of until this event. The follow up band was none other then the notorious Anvil. I say notorious because of the way they sold out into the reality TV show fad. the best part about Anvil's part of the show was when the lead singer, Steve "Lips" Kudlow, asked the audience to stand if they were long time fans. The end result of that request was about 3 people standing in the front row... (Could have been more of course, but the stadium was huge.) Anvil's song names were quite amusing to about 95% of the people sitting around me in row 13 of section 135. Their 'hits' Metal on Metal and White Rhino seemed to draw the most laughter.

But the thing that brought everyone together was of course our boys from down under, AC/DC. Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd took the stage at about 9:03pm after their hilarious and well crafted intro movie. The stage exploded with the signature Rock N' Roll Train for their opening song and provided the backdrop to all of their legendary hits all the way up to Let Their Be Rock, where the train was pulled back inside after being strattled by everyone's favorite 42/39/56, Rosie.

The First part of the show was as amazing as the second (consider if it was on a CD, the end of part 1 being with Hell's Bells.) With hits like Back n' Black, and Hell Ain't A Bad Place to Be, who wouldn't be rocking? During the songs The Jack and You Shook Me, female members of the audience were shown on the movie screens that surrounded the stage (4 in total). The best part of that was during The Jack when the screens flashed to David Spade and Chris Rock singing along with the rest of us in the audience. For Hell's Bells the signature bell descended from the ceiling and Brian ran across the stage and lept into the air to swing on the bell's rope. The five songs from their newly released album Black Ice fit like a glove with the rest of their iconic songs, Rock N' Roll Train, Big Jack, Black Ice, War Machine and Anything Goes.

The thing that I found most alarming about the concert was the end, because it was over and because all of the upper sections began to file out BEFORE the encore!! WHO DOES THAT???? The Encore of course was the best part of the show!!!! Angus came back out strutting with his horns showing, and began the freakin awesome tune Highway to Hell, only to follow it up by For Those About To Rock. The 21 gun salute was definitely worth the $92.00 ticket price plus fees, and I am 100,000% glad that I purchased them.

This concert receives 100 Cannon Fires out of a possible 10. Thanks for reading!
