it's february and time for the band to head to europe! and it's also time for the newsletter
As is the custom on acdc-bootlegs.com and acdc-videos.com, February is devoted to remembering Bon. 29 years ago this month, Bon passed away and the world lost one of the best front-men in history. That is why when February rolls around, we post the BOTM's & videos in Bon's memory, so that we will never forget.
nijmegen '78 is the first february botm
One of your own requested a a show from the Powerage tour, so here is a recording from Nijmegen, The Netherlands recorded on October 23. I'm not sure how rare it is any more, but it has some great songs like Gone Shootin' and Sin City so it should be a great listen. Check it out here at the BOTM page. Be sure to check back every week for a new bootleg this month. While it will push my time limits (as well as the website's traffic limits), I'll do my best to have a show from the Bon era posted each Sunday throughout the month of February.
dog eat dog takes over acdc-videos.com
While it's not easy to find Bon videos, here is one that you can sink your teeth into. The first video shared this month is Dog Eat Dog, recorded in Toronto in June of 1979. Don't get your hopes up. The camera is blocked most of the time and the quality is fair at best, but it's still Bon and the band doing their thing. You can also check out the full video information on acdc-vids here. You can also download the clip here! Be sure to check back later in the month for more videos.
february give-away is for the full 'midnight special' program from 1978
A while back, I got a hold of the complete Midnight Special tv program that featured the legendary performance of Sin City. This disc includes all of the performances from the show, including Ted Nugent, Aerosmith and Cheap Trick, to name a few. Check out more information on this recording at acdc-videos.com . Be sure to enter once per day to improve your chances of winning! Click here to view the Give-Away info.
ac/dc photo exhibition in london next month
Proud Galeries will be opening a photo exhibition next month in London called 'AC/DC: Let There be Rock' which will feature a number of photos of the band taken by Philip Morris. This event will coincide with the UK arena tour, so it will be a great addition to any fan making the trip to London for the show. It will also be a fitting tribute to Bon next month, which will mark the 29th anniversary of his passing. If you live in London or will be there on February 4th, please contact me and I can try & get you into the Launch night festivities, giving you a view of the photos the night before it opens to the public. The exhibition runs from February 5th until May 31st, 2009. Again, if you would like to go and are available on the evening of February 4, please contact me and I will get you on the list. I will send in my final guest list on the morning of February 3! Click here for more information.

fans helping fans 2009
Some of you have certainly heard of our campaign "fans helping fans":
It's a reaction to the impossible circumstances surrounding the booking
of tickets for the current AC/DC tour, whereas the circumstances we're
criticizing do not only apply to AC/DC, but are rather a fundamental
problem.
Therefore, we want to achieve two things with this campaign:
1) Firstly we want to give those who do not yet have a ticket the
possibility to get one after all, at a normal price and
2) we'd like to draw attention to the black market for tickets, which is
increasingly getting out of hand, to motivate those who can do something
about it, to take action.
If you have any tickets, which you could make available to the campaign,
it would be really great!

Please note, this website is in German. If you would like more information on this topic, please contact me and I will direct you in the right way.

looking for new tour recordings
There have already been a ton of recordings surfacing from the new tour. For that, I'm grateful. But, there are bound to be others out there that have not surfaced on the torrent sites yet. If you've taped a shot (audio or video), please drop me a line and see if we can work out a trade.
Thanks again for your time & have a happy new year,
BigNate
