Since it's Christmas day and all, here is just a quick update on the downloads at acdc-bootlegs.com & acdc-videos.com, as well as the winner of the DVD Give-Away.  I don't have much time to write and you don't have much time to read, so I'll make it quick! 

bloomington 1986 is the last BOTM of 2007
I took one of the requests from the forum and decided to go with the recording from Bloomington, MN in the USA, recorded on August 29, 1986.  I had 2 recordings from this show and this one was more complete (and newer) to myself than the other so hopefully it will be new to you as well.  Growing up in Minnesota, any show from the area holds a special place in my heart, even if I never made it to one in my home state.  It can't hurt to check it out, so go and grab the last BOTM of 2007 while you can! Click here to go to the BOTM page.

Here's video proof that Santa is an AC/DC fan!  This clip from Largo, MD, recorded on December 21, 1981 shows Santa on stage while the band is finishing up TNT.  This version of TNT is different from the one included in 'Plug Me In', so be sure to check it out.  It's the only time I know of that AC/DC has shared the stage with bon Santa and one of his reindeer...although the reindeer looks like he's seen better days.  Check it out here!

preview the new member page layout
So here is your preview of the new member page layout that will hopefully be put into place within the next few months.  This has been a work in progress for well over a year now, and the bulk of it came together pretty quickly within the last 2 months.  At the moment, the following sections will be available to whomever wants them: home/introdution, trade list, blog, collection, contact.  It's pretty basic at the moment and I don't have the blog system written yet, but that should come together pretty quickly.  For those of you that have either a trade list or a collection of AC/DC items you'd want to share with others, this is for you!  I'll be adding new sections as I can, so it should be pretty good once things get rolling.  This is still in the testing stage, so I will let you all know when it's ready for everyone.  It'll be a nice addition to the site and bring a sense of community together (think MySpace, but on a much smaller, AC/DC level).  Check out the prototype of my member's page here: http://members.acdc-bootlegs.com/BigNate

As I sit here early on Christmas morning watching the Houston footage from 'Plug Me In' and enjoying the peace & quiet after a busy weekend, I can't help but look back on the last few years of running both acdc-bootlegs.com and acdc-videos.com.  It's hard to believe that 'vids' has been live under my authority for 2 years now.  And it's even harder to believe that 'boots' has come so far in the last 4 years.  I think I had about 40 members when the first Christmas rolled around; now I'm sending out my newsletter to about 9000 strong, with more signing up every day.  That just blows me away, and I'm thankful for such a great collection of members.  I don't usually get all sappy and show much emotion, but it is that time of the year.  So in short, thank you for the support of the sites for the last few years.  And here's to many, many more!
