november 2007 newsletter

November is here.  The air has a chill to it, my kids are still running around in their Halloween costumes and there is tons of candy for me to snack on.  It's also time for the November newsletter here on acdc-bootlegs.com & acdc-videos.com, so here it is!

The November BOTM comes to you 'live' from Little Rock, Arkansas, recorded on February 5, 1991.  The quality on this one should be pretty good.  I've probably said this a few times already, but The Razor's Edge tour is probably my favorite tour from the band simply due to the power and energy their concerts put out.  I'm hoping this one will come across that way and you'll all enjoy it!  Click here to go to the BOTM page on acdc-bootlegs.com.

While there aren't too many videos from the Blow Up Your Video tour, this one is one of the best you'll find.  Filmed on May 12, 1988 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, this bootleg curiously titled 'Toronto Heatseekers' captures a great performance, even though it is just a single cam shot.  We're featuring For Those About to Rock this time around, which is always a crowd favorite.  This one should be worth it to check out.  Click here to download it and enjoy!

If you go to the home page of acdc-bootlegs.com, you may notice a few new links on the right side of the page.  These are the first of a few new sections I'll be adding over the next few months.  Here's a quick run-down on what each one does:

Site Updates - www.acdc-bootlegs.com/updates
This section lists off any and all updates to the site, aside from the news articles.  Any images added to the Concert History or other minor updates that were previously overlooked are now kept track of here.
Newsletter Archive - www.acdc-bootlegs.com/newsletter
Now you can see what you've been missing!  I've kept track of all of the site newsletters from the past 2 years or so and you can now see them online!  So if you unsubscribed from the newsletter a while back, you can now see what I had to say.
Specials - www.acdc-bootlegs.com/specials
The Specials section is for special articles or write-ups that aren't quite news items and aren't quite Forum posts.  Anyone can submit these, it just has to be something that stands out a bit and will be an interesting read.  Currently, there are 3 Specials up for your reading pleasure: pictures of Angus' new house in Holland, my very own 'Plug Me In' review, and screen shots from the day before 'Plug Me In' was officially released in the states.

This page is a place to post AC/DC and AC/DC related torrents that are available on other sites.  You are welcome to post the links to any torrent as long as it follows the rules, so feel free to submit as many as you can find!  acdc-bootlegs.com is not runnng it's own torrent site, we're just posting links to AC/DC torrents that are available on other sites.

The old trading hub site is back!  Although none of the hubs seem to currently be active, I'd be happy to update it if someone has a good one to add.
Advertising - www.acdc-bootlegs.com/advertising
This section offers information on the advertisements you see on the left hand side of acdc-bootlegs.com and the bottom of acdc-videos.com.  The main thing to take away from this section is that this is how I raise money for the site.  I took down the old donations page when I put up the new design simply because I felt bad accepting money for doing something I enjoy so much.  Whether you want to advertise something of yours on the site or put some clicks to good use, this is where you can help keep the site going strong!

4 years and counting
On November 5th, 2003, I purchased the domain name acdc-bootlegs.com.  In the 4 years since, it has grown and evolved thanks to the support of it's members.  I'd just like to say thank you for a great 4 years to all of those that have uploaded a set list, posted on the forum or even signed up for an account.  Without all of you, I would have given up on this website a long time ago.  Through your support and encouragement, I've been given the drive to keep it going through some very hard times in my life and for that I'm grateful.  Enough with the sappy stuff, time to finish this newsletter up.
