here comes the october newsletter

There are a number of things going on, so here goes.  I'll try to keep it short & sweet.

I'm a bit behind getting this posted, but hopefully it'll be worth the wait.  This month's BOTM is from Essen, Germany, recorded on March 31, 1988.  I found I have 2 bootlegs from this show, so I'm putting up the complete version.  It's listed as good quality, so hopefully it'll come across the same to you.  It also features a little guitar doodle by Angus before Highway to Hell (or so my notes say), so just something else to listen for.  Please check it out here, and be sure to post your review once you've listened to it.

The video this time around is taken from Melbourne, Australia on February 12, 2001.  This clip comes across pretty clear and is shot close to the stage, so it's definitely worth watching a few times.  Of course I say that about any video clip, so please feel free to see for yourself!  When I saw the band in 2000, the light show on this song blew me away.  I had a great view from the floor, and couldn't believe how cool it looked.  Unfortunately, the video doesn't do it justice, but is still great to watch.  Click here to download it and enjoy!

plug me in single out now, box set right around the corner
With the much anticipated release of 'Plug Me In', Best Buy (a store in the US) has released a 3 song cd single (audio) today.  I will be picking mine up shortly and will post pictures on the site once I can take a few.  This single comes with a coupon for $2.99 off the cost of the box set (the single costs $2.99).  The full dvd release is set to come out on October 16 in the USA and about a week later elsewhere.  You can still pre-order either version from Amazon.com below.

With the new design of the website up and working, I've had to focus my time on my other projects.  I do have more plans on adding new sections to the site, so keep checking out the home page.  There's also news posted when I find some as well as the forum to keep you busy, so feel free to take part in the site when you can.  Also, thanks for the support by clicking on the Google Adsense and Amazon ads.  I've had a great response from the members, and it will go a long ways in helping support the site.  Hopefully you're finding some useful links too, so please keep clicking away!  Finally, the DVD Give-Away will hopefully return next month.  Sorry for the delays.
