july has come around quick, time for your update
July has started already. For some of you, it's summer time to get outside and enjoy some good music. For others, it's winter so you should stay inside and listen to some good music. For the rest, it's nice out so do what you will!
not quite an ac/dc bootleg for the botm
With Brian & Cliff doing a few shows without the rest of the band over the next few months, the BOTM for July is a recording of Brian doing a few songs at a gig in September of 2004. I don't have much info on why he did it or who he did it with, but did find this article on CrabsodyInBlue.com. It's only 4 songs, so it should be a quick download. If I find myself with extra time later on in the month and bandwidth to spare, I will try and get another recording up as well. Until then, enjoy this one for what it's worth! pro shot video from detroit in 1990 is the current video
There are a few pro shot videos floating around from AC/DC that have not been released officially: Rio 1985, Dublin 1996 and Detroit 1990. This video is from the last, a fair quality recording of Highway to Hell. There are a few fans that manage to get on stage during the song, and Brian is his usual good natured self and has a little dance with them. Anyways, this one is up for 2 weeks from yesterday. Feel free to check it out here.
july dvd give-away
The Give-Away for this month is a good quality single cam recording from Barcelona, Spain, filmed on July 3rd, 1996. It features a strong set list and is fun to watch. For more info on the video, check it out here. Otherwise, get signed up once per day for your chance to win from the home page of acdc-bootlegs.com.
noiseunion's new album is out!
As yet another plug for a friend of mine, I'd like to mention that the band Noiseunion is has just released their 3rd album, a 5 song EP titled 'The Uprising'. There are 2 songs available in mp3 format on their band website at noiseunion.com, as well as 3 more streaming on their myspace page. They've got a few shows coming up in the MN/ND area, as well as a few more later this summer in the Lafayette, IN area. I've been asked to manage their website, so please check them out if you have time.
still plugging along
I've taken some time from other projects and put it toward the new design for acdc-bootlegs.com lately, and the results have been alright. I'm hoping to get it out sooner than later, so August may be a possibility. I'll be taking some personal time over the next week to spend with my family, but after that things should hopefully go smoothly as long as I can keep myself indoors when the weather's nice. I better head home from work now, I hope you're doing well and enjoying the sites. Thanks for your support!
Talk to you soon,
BigNate
