it's june!  time for another update

May went by very quickly.  I ended up not having my computer for almost 2 weeks, so it's good to get back online and in the mix.  Here's the update on the sites.

bootleg from 1981 makes this month's botm
I saw a few requests for an early 80's bootleg, so I went digging.  After looking back at the past BOTM's to make sure I hadn't shared one before, I found that I hadn't put up a show from 1981 before.  So here you go!  This one is from New York City, NY on December 2nd, 1981.  It features some great songs like What Do You Do for Money Honey and Put the Finger on You, and is also from the era when For Those About to Rock wasn't the closer.  The quality isn't the greatest, but it's still worth a listen to hear those songs.  Click here to go to the BOTM page.

seldom seen promo video is available on acdc-videos
After not getting a new video up for over 2 weeks, I was in a rush and put this one up since I had it on my laptop for other reasons.  This is the Sink the Pink video from the Fly on the Wall album.  It was featured on the Fly on the Wall VHS tape back in the day, and is now on Family Jewels.  This version is a bit different, however.  There were 2 songs that featured a few different clips that were only played on television.  This version of Sink the Pink has Angus shooting a pool ball with his guitar at the end of the video.  Unfortunately that's the only change that I can see, but it's still fun to watch.  Feel free to check it out here.

june dvd give-away
The DVD Give-Away for June features a nice recording from Hockenheim, Germany on June 22nd, 2003.  It's a single cam, shot from stage right, and is mostly shots of the large video screen next to the stage.  This Give-Away is open until June 21st.  Get signed up once per day for your chance to win from the home page of acdc-bootlegs.com.

new french webzine is now open
I've been trying to build a community of fans since I opened acdc-bootlegs.com nearly 3 1/2 years ago now, and it's my pleasure to help promote bands or new websites.  The latest one I've heard about is a French AC/DC webzine, devoted to keeping French fans up to date on the latest news.  I'm hoping an English version will be put up some day so I can enjoy it as well, but for now if you speak French you're in luck!  Check it out by going to http://acdcwebzine.free.fr/

noiseunion's new album is just about finished
As another plug for a friend of mine, I'd like to mention that the band Noiseunion is currently finishing up a 5 song cd.  I work with the lead singer/lead guitar, so I'd just like to help spread the word on this band.  They are a local act from the Fargo, ND area, but will be playing shows in a number of states this summer.  Their music isn't much like AC/DC, but I personally think it's pretty damn good.  They helped me through a rough time in my life, and I'm very greatful for their music.  Anyways, you can check out one of their new songs on their myspace page here, along with a few others from their past albums.

summer plans
With June here already (holy crap, where has the time gone?!?!) things are really moving along in my life.  My boys are growing up and I'm trying to keep them somewhat in line.  I've been pretty busy with a number of projects, and this does include the redesign of acdc-bootlegs.com and the future redesign of acdc-videos.com.  Things have been slow lately, and at first I was hoping for a July 1st release for the new site.  Looking at where I am now, it doesn't look good for making that deadline.  I'm now hoping for a September/October date, so hopefully that will be more realistic.  I've got some great plans for the site (some of which are already taking shape), so hopefully it will be a change for the better.  I'll keep you posted and possibly give a few images of how it'll look once it's complete.

Otherwise, not much has been going on.  I've been picking up a few bootlegs here and there, mostly from Dime, but for the most part it's been pretty quiet.  I've picked up a number of Metallica dvd's from different spots, so that's been fun seeing new shows from them.  I had lost interest for a while and am finding it again in their live shows.  I've got a few AC/DC bootlegs to go through, but unfortunately none are ones that are new to me; just different/improved versions.  But they're still fun to see again, so I don't mind.  I also have a project that is being finished up soon involving the Fly on the Wall videos, so hopefully that will be of interest to some traders out there.  Fun stuff, good times.

That's it for now, talk to you soon,
