kicking off march

After a very successful month of February on acdc-bootlegs.com, we move onto March and try to keep things rolling.  The BOTM is up and available, the give-away has been posted for you to sign up to win, and there is actually a video online at acdc-videos.com!

cologne 2000 is the botm
The show from November 15, 2000 in Cologne, Germany, is available for download.  This recording features good quality, a complete set list and should be worth the download if you'd like to hear a Stiff Upper Lip tour bootleg.  Safe in New York City and Get it Hot are played, along with 18 other great songs so go out and grab it today from acdc-bootlegs.com!

downloads return to acdc-videos.com
After 3 weeks of having my laptop sent off to be fixed by Toshiba, they finally sent it back and it seems to be working fine.  Since they originally said '5-7 days' for it to be fixed, needless to say I was a little pissed about the whole ordeal.  But at least it's back, that's what matters.  Anyways, the current video is from Cleveland in 1979.  The song is Problem Child, and it is definitely worth a download if you haven't seen this show before.  It's available for another week, so be sure to check it out if you haven't already.

march dvd give-away
The DVD Give-Away for March features a great 2 cam mix from Ft Lauderdale, FL, recorded on March 18, 2001.  The quality is pretty good, and is definitely worth the 5 seconds it takes you to get your submission in.  We return to the regular schedule this month, so you can sign up until March 21st.  Get signed up once per day for your chance to win from the home page of acdc-bootlegs.com.

site stats for last month
With last month marking 27 years since Bon's death, I decided to try and share 4 bootlegs (1 per week).  It was an overwhelming success, even though I had to make arrangements for more bandwidth just to keep the site running.  Things are back to normal now with only 1 bootleg for March, but the site stats were great!  Here's the rundown:
- the site averaged 358 unique visitors per day
- there were just over 10,000 visitors for the entire month
- almost 158 gb of data were transferred (that's 158,000 mb)
- there were exactly 2,200 downloads between the 4 shows shared
- there were over 32,000 files displayed on the site for the entire month
- we had visits from nearly 30 different countries

Bon would be proud.  Thanks for paying such a great tribute to him, as well as the rest of the band.

site updates
I've officially begun working on the new design for the site.  I have the look & feel about 90% done, and have also started fixing some problems I found with the Venue Listing as well as adding some new functionality.  I've posted this on the site, but would like to extend this request to those that don't look through the forum that much: what would you like to see changed on the site?  Are there parts that don't work well or don't have enough info?  Would you like something new added?  Please take a minute or 2 to send your thoughts my way as I'm definitely looking to make this site the best it can be.  Just reply to this forum topic and I will look through your thoughts & ideas as I rebuild the site.  Thanks for your time & input.  It's greatly appreciated and makes my job easier!

that's it for another newsletter
So, that's about it for this newsletter.  I did better than usual by getting this sent out on the 2nd (rather than the 6th like last year or 14th like most months), but I'm hoping to start having them sent out on the first regularly.  I've got a lot of work going on at the moment, but still try and find time to put aside for stuff like this mostly because I just enjoy it.  At my full time job, I can usually be found listening to a bootleg just about every day; it's a lot easier to get stuff done when you have good music on in the background, so doing stuff like the sites and newsletters is my way of giving back to a band that has given me (and all of us) so much.  I'm done blabblering.  Enjoy the downloads and don't forget to post reviews!
