january 5, 2007 acdc-bootlegs.com   acdc-videos.com 2 botm's this month Hi .  I hope you all had a good Christmas & New Years (or whatever it is that you celebrate).  For January, I had originally posted a bootleg from December 5, 1983 in New York City.  I read in one of the reviews that I had shared it here before, and I had!  I didn't realize it until then, so I will keep the the New York gig online for those that weren't around when it was shared before until January 15th, and then share another gig from Copenhagen, Denmark, on February 16, 1986 for the remainder of the month.  I just saw this one in my files and thought it sounded alright so here you go.  Both are available in lossless format on Dime-A-Dozen if you'd like to get them that way, or will be acdc-bootlegs.com until the end of January. for those about to rock kicks off the new year When looking for a good video to close out 2006 and welcome in 2007, I wanted to find a good version of For Those About to Rock.  The current video is from Dortmund, Germany, on November 24, 2000.  It's a really good quality vid, so be sure to check it out and post your review on acdc-videos.com.    january dvd give-away is up (finally) After not having one last month, the give-away is up for the new year.  This time, the prize is for the dvd from Brussels, Belgium, recorded on January 25, 1986.  It's a single cam recording, but unfortunately my info file on it is missing so I don't have much to go on.  You can sign up for it from the home page of acdc-bootlegs.com, and also see screen shots on acdc-videos.com if you're interested.  I'll watch it soon and get the file updated as soon as I can.  The give-away is open until January 21st, so be sure to sign up once per day for your best chance to win! calling all bootleggers With trading getting a bit slow, I figured I'd send out a message to see who out there has recorded an AC/DC show in person and still has the master recording tucked away somewhere.  I'm looking for audio or video, from either the Bon or Brian era.  I don't have much money to spend if you're selling, so I'd prefer to set up a trade if possible.  Or if it's not, I'd like to at least get the venue listing up to date as to which shows have recordings in existence.  I figured this would be best way to get the word out; with 8,000+ of the best members a guy could ask for, it can't hurt!  Please go here and fill out this form and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.  Thanks for your time, I hope to hear from a lot of you soon. that time of the year again With the start of the new year, my hosting fees for the sites have been paid.  While I have no problem paying them out of my own pocket, any help from you guys would be much appreciated.  It's by no means mandatory and the site will continue to run and be free for as long as I can manage, but any little bit would be helpful.  This will be the one time I come out and ask for anything this year, so I won't be bugging you repeatedly for donations; that's not the kind of guy I am.  If you'd like to chip in a few bucks via PayPal or maybe some info on a show or two, please go here and see what you can do.  Just click on the PayPal logo to get started.  Anything would be greatly appreciated, and any money received will go toward the hosting fees, as well as the cost of media & shipping for things like the dvd-giveway and random requests for shows that I send out.  Thanks again. the new year I'm extremely excited for the new year, and what it will bring to both acdc-bootlegs.com and acdc-videos.com.  Some updates will be small like an improved layout for acdc-boots and a new design for acdc-vids, some will be big like the addition of a fairly in-depth members section and encorporating YouTube into the mix on acdc-vids.  I also have yet another project to get started on that will be a great resource for fans of many bands once it gets going.  It should be interesting, but I don't have much to say on it until I get things going.  And finally, I'm excited to keep the live music coming to all of the Riff Raff on acdc-bootlegs.com and acdc-videos.com.  It's been an honor running the sites for so long, and will continue to be one throughout this year on far into the future.  Here's to the start of a great year.
