september 9, 2006 acdc-bootlegs.com   acdc-videos.com my apologies Ok, so I missed the August newsletter and here it is, almost half way through September, and I'm just now getting this message sent out.  It's been a busy summer for me, so I've had to take time away from the websites to concentrate on my family, as well as my jobs.  But we're back for September, so here's the latest update as to what's going on with the websites.   september botm online The BOTM for September is now online at acdc-bootlegs.com.  This month, you can get nice compilation bootleg that includes performances from Bon and the band recorded in 1976.  The title of the bootleg is '76 TV & Radio, and features some songs rarely performed by AC/DC, most in excellent quality.  The bootleg is up until the end of the month, so be sure to check it out.  If you already have it, that's fine too.  Please take a moment to listen to your copy and leave your feedback in the form of a review.  With an average of around 500 downloads per bootleg and only 15-20 reviews, I'd like to get more feedback if possible.  If you remember, please post your thoughts!  new video online at acdc-videos.com The video for the next 2 weeks is now online at acdc-videos.com.  This time around, you can see Dog Eat Dog from Oakland, California recorded back in 1979.  The quality isn't great, but it's one of the rare recordings from Bon's era so you shouldn't miss it!  Much like the audio bootlegs, the video bootlegs really don't get much feedback.  Please post a review once you've watched it. dvd give-away on acdc-bootlegs.com This month's DVD Give-Away is for a single cam bootleg from September 13, 1986, recorded in Montreal.  You can sign up to win once per day from now until September 21st.  This is one of the few recordings from that tour, so don't miss your chance to win!   random thoughts on the sites As the year comes to a close (only 106 shopping days till Christmas!), acdc-bootlegs.com will be turning 3 already.  I started the site with the basic idea of having the group's list of shows & dates online so I could reference it for my trading.  In the 3 years since, it has grown to a huge community of users (10,000+ registered, 6,000+ active), and has been a great joy to take part in.  After taking on an additional project of acdc-videos.com and opening it January 1st of this year, my one year anniversary of that site is also coming up.  While the site itself is much older, I hope the my recent additions and determination to keep things updated have been useful to the people that use it.  I'm not sure why I'm rambling on, so I'll finish this up and get it sent out.  I guess I just wanted to say thanks for all of the support and I hope you've enjoyed the sites!  BigNate
