the newsletter makes it's comeback After taking a few months off from the newsletter, I'm finally sending out what I hope to be the first of many monthly emails. For those new members that haven't received an email before (roughly 400-500 over the past 2 months or so), I send out an email once a month to cover any news or upates on the 2 sites, acdc-bootlegs.com and acdc-videos.com. You can choose to not receive the email at any time by clicking on a link at the bottom of this email. By choosing to receive the monthly email, you'll be the first to know about updates or plans for the sites.
may botm is now online The Bootleg of the Month for May is from San Sebastian, Spain, recorded on August 11, 1984. It includes a few live tracks from the Flick of the Switch album, so that's a good thing. Go and get it today, or at least before the end of the month as it will be available until May 31st. Don't forget to leave some feedback once you've listened to it.
may give-away The May Give-Away is for the outstanding 3 disc collection that includes many Bon Scott promo videos and tv appearances. You can sign up once per day from May 1st to May 21st on the home page of acdc-bootlegs.com. Don't miss your chance to get this great collection of Bon videos!
new video online next week acdc-videos.com has really made a nice comeback. The site made it's return on January 1st of this year, and has been doing very well and still seems to be a fairly popular site. The current video is available for another week, and the new vid will be up next Sunday. For now, you can download 'Who Made Who' from Stockholm, Sweden in 1988. Be sure to check out the extra Angus' at the beginning of the song!
As far as the videos go, if you get an error when trying to play them or can't hear the audio, please read the information on the Downloads page. It tells you what to try and gives you links to download a few codecs and other things that should do the trick and let you enjoy the vids.
site advertising/sponsorships With the amazing growth of the sites over the past few months, I'm having to look into upgrading the server yet again. If you've noticed either site running slowly or not responding, that's the reason. It's also the reason for some of the parts of acdc-bootlegs.com being trimmed out. I'll be doing some optimizing to improve the code, but that will only go so far.
This is where you, the Riff Raff of the sites, can really help out. If you have a company or product to advertise, we'd like to offer you the chance to advertise on either or both of the sites. I'll have site statistics on both sites available upon request, and can provide user statistics and demographics if you're interested (no names or emails will be sold). We're looking for sponsor's to advertise on any of the pages, or certain sections (BOTM, Video Downloads, monthly newsletter, etc), and prices will be very reasonable for the number of impressions you will make. If you're interested, please email advertising@acdc-videos.com with your contact information and what you'd like to advertise and I'll get back to you.
check the venue listing If you've been to a show and remember the set list, took pictures or still have the ticket stub, I'd like to invite you to find your show on the venue listing and submit any information you might have about the show. Check the venue/date to make sure it's correct, submit any images you might be willing to share, anything like that. Any help would be great, and credit will be given. I'd like to fill out the venue listing wherever possible, so please check it out if you get the chance! http://venues.acdc-bootlegs.com
if you'd like a show remastered, i've got the connection If you have a show you think sounds alright but believe it could sound better, let Jack Death work on it to improve the quality. He's helped me a few times by taking shows on cassette, converting them to cdr and improving the quality, and his work is great! If you'd like more information, email him at acdc-bootlegs.com/jackdeath and let him know BigNate sent you.
vinyl bootleg sale If you're looking for some bootlegs on vinyl, now is a great time to check out Nightprowler's LP's. Visit acdc-bootegs.com/nightprowler to see what he has left. Get there quick and take advantage of the deals he's offering!
That's it for this newsletter. I'd like to welcome aboard all of the new members over the past few months. I hope the sites live up to your expectations.
BigNate
